How much does web design cost in Kenya?
We scope every site based on what it actually needs to do, so the price follows the brief rather than a fixed package. What moves it is the number of pages, whether you’re selling online, how large the catalogue is, and features like bookings, subscriptions, or integrations with systems you already use. Every build includes the SEO foundation rather than treating it as an extra, which is usually the first thing cut on a cheaper quote and the reason those sites launch and then sit there unfound. Both, and which one we recommend depends on what you’re selling and how you want to manage it. Shopify suits businesses that want a store running with minimal technical involvement, with payments and inventory handled for you. WordPress with WooCommerce gives more control and flexibility, and suits content-heavy sites or businesses with specific requirements. We don’t build custom platforms from scratch, because it costs more, takes longer, and leaves you dependent on whoever wrote the code.
A straightforward site usually takes five to six weeks. Larger e-commerce builds take longer, mostly depending on how many products need setting up and how ready your content and images are. The thing that delays projects most often isn’t development, it’s waiting on content, so we tell you upfront exactly what we need from you and when.
The foundation is included in every site we build, which covers structure, speed, technical setup, and mapping each page to what people actually search for. That’s what makes the site capable of ranking. Ongoing SEO is separate work: publishing content, building authority, and competing for the terms that bring in customers month after month. Think of the build as making the site eligible to rank, and ongoing SEO as making it happen.
This is where most redesigns go wrong. Change your URLs without mapping redirects and the pages that used to rank start returning errors, so the traffic you’d built up disappears overnight. We map every old URL to its new home before launch, keep your existing page titles and content structure where they’re working, and monitor search performance afterwards. A redesign should keep your rankings, not reset them.
